“Guthrie at Night”
I was shooting the 2009 Aquatennial Fireworks show and while I was waiting for the fireworks I enjoyed
a beautiful sunset. This is a silhouette of the back (river) side of the Guthrie.

“Holi Colors”
These powdered colors are used liberally during the festival Holi – the Festival of Color as well are
used to paint intricate designs in front of temples, homes and businesses.

“Canine Portrait”
I absolutely love animals and I’m definitely not shy with my love for dogs. Throughout my last
trip to India it seemed that dogs were drawn to me as well. They kept following me around
and I just loved the smile on this particular canine friend.

“Waiting At The Door”
While walking through Dharavi (Asia’s largest slum), there was this little cat sitting
in a doorway. As an animal lover it was important for me to get a picture. The cat just sat
there patiently in front of the beautiful red door.

“Friends”
While driving I noticed the sun setting behind the Mumbai skyline and was especially excited to see so
many people sitting on this ledge overlooking the beach. This is one of the many things that reminds
me of India: Friends sitting together enjoying a moment.

“Spices”
While shopping for some chili powder for making homemade Indian pickle, I saw
this tray of spices. I’m still impressed with the low light capabilities of the D700.

“Low Tide”
I was a bit surprised to see these boats “beached” during low tide in Mumbai. Where are the docks?

“Hi-Fashion”
As I was walking through a market in Mumbai, I noticed this Hi-Fashion shop and just loved
the juxtaposition of the decaying building on top with the clothing shop below.

“Portrait”
I was sitting in Leopold’s Cafe in Mumbai with some friends and I looked up and saw
what I thought was a portrait of a woman talking on the phone. I realized it’s an upstairs
seating area when I saw her move her lips.

“Playing in the Water”
This photo was taken during low tide at a fisherman’s village in Mumbai, India.
I love how the kids are playing in the shallow waters.
